I had an opportunity to represent the community blood bank by sharing Jack's story tonight. They were honoring his blood donor. The location was actually at a church just a few blocks from our house so I walked. It wasn't necessarily a calorie burning walk, but my heart was pounding with nerves. When I saw this sign as I walked through the doors my heart melted. Its been a while since I've talked about that experience and it brought back a lot of emotions. Even though it was dark by the time I was done I was very thankful for the walk home.
